As a non-profit home builder, we build homes for less money and sell them at cost. By not serving a profit margin, we pass savings onto community members. We are striving to make home ownership attainable for Squamish residents.
DWIFT is more than a business, it is a model of change.
We’ll do whatever it takes to bring affordable housing to Squamish.

We believe that a community should give back to people what they put in; where they have the opportunity and financial means to make the right decisions for themselves and their family. We believe in a sustainable community that will support its residents now and long into the future. We believe that housing is for people, not profit.

We are entrepreneurs, trades-people, social housing professionals, and non-profit developers who have the skills and ambition to make a difference in our community. We believe that new approaches are necessary to resolve the housing crisis. Together we can build community better!

Maureen has worked to support the community of Squamish and its residents her entire career. As the lead on the Under One Roof project, Maureen helped bring government investment to Squamish in order to meet the needs of our most vulnerable community members.

Our Approach.
Our approach counters the commodification of housing and promotes it as a human right - finding creative solutions to reduce cost and maximize affordability. The people who are affected by the housing crisis should be empowered to solve the housing crisis. We will do what ever it takes to build affordable housing.
